Xeriscape: Xeriscape combines water conservation, appropriate plant selection, and soil building to create a thriving landscape which is both beautiful and resilient in our semi-arid landscape.

Sod/Turf Conversion: Convert thirsty sod and turf into attractive xeriscaping. Renovating sod or turf yard into water wise xeriscape conserves water, protects soil, and adds curb appeal. It is a win-win!

Edible Plants & Homesteading: Anyone wanting a yield from their landscape should be growing edible plants. Food forests, berry bushes, and vegetable gardens all offer more than just visual appeal. Planting edibles improves household food security while making responsible use of Colorado’s precious water resources.

Raised Bed Gardening: Gardening in raised beds is more ergonomic than traditional beds, provides a shortcut to quality soil, and creates a well-defined space for growing. Our garden beds are beyond the reach of all but the craftiest rabbits and can be outfitted with burrowing rodent and hail protection!

Local & Repurposed Materials: You can feel good about your environmental impact knowing we source material locally to minimize our carbon footprint.  We can creatively repurpose and upcycle existing materials to reduce waste and cost! Freshen the look of your landscape by incorporating materials you already have – we can help bring them new life in style.

Healthy Soil & Mulch (Soil building & Mulch): Healthy soil is the foundation for healthy plants. We build soil through natural amendments and natural wood mulch to build vigorous, living soil with protection from the elements. Natural tree mulch and appropriately amended soil ensures plants are set up for success. 

Rainwater Harvesting & Erosion Control: Make the most of valuable precipitation by directing water to beneficial use! Installing rain barrels, redirecting runoff, and incorporating erosion control can make natural water a blessing, not a curse, to your landscape.

Composting: Get your food scraps working for you! Composting in Colorado is best accomplished in a two or three bin system where food scraps and organic matter can be easily heaped, contained, and covered. Let us build your bins, or enjoy the benefits of local compost pick-up and delivery by our friends at Brown’s Greens.  Your soil (and plants!) will thank you.
